A photo gallery that builds a folder of photographs into a static website. Each top-level folder becomes an album, with nested folders scanned automatically.
From folders to albums
The build prepares still images as WebP files and uses EXIF capture dates, with folder dates as a fallback, to establish their order. Album titles and homepage order can be configured without changing the folder structure.
The gallery includes a responsive, keyboard-accessible lightbox and controls for random order, reverse order, names, and capture times. Display preferences are saved locally in the browser.
The gallery runs without a frontend framework and can be hosted as static files. Its source code is MIT licensed; the photographs have separate rights and are not included in that license.
